]]> Have you seen the new movie trailer for Avatar? It’s a James Cameron flick, due out in December, and it looks fabulous! That’s right…I used fabulous to describe a movie. And I’m not even that familiar with the animated series, but I am a sucker for beautiful cinematography. Take a look.

A lot of people are talking (and by talking, we mean facebooking, or blogging, etc.) about this movie right now. And while you can’t find it on YouTube (WHAT?!!) – it does find itself in the Google rankings with The Last Airbender (M. Night). So enjoy the link to the trailer on Apple’s website and sorry for the inconvenience (we all know how too many clicks can cause frustration in our viewers). ]]> What do you get when you cross James T. Kirk with a little angry Vulcan named Spock? Some great nostalgia for sure. It makes me wonder how many other nerds who grew up with Star Trek have little heart palpitations when they see these movie trailers for one of the most loved SciFi series of all time.

It’s not your run of the mill blinking lights on the helm. It’s new age cinema. And it sure is nice bringing back some old friends. Jim and Bones and Spock and I are going to hang out by the transporter with our tricorders and phasers set to kill. Yep! We’re livin’ it up and we’re out for Romulan blood. ]]> We’re nerds. We know it. And we accept it. We also love us some Star Trek spoofs. Sure, we love the real deal, but who doesn’t find enjoyment watching Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Jack Black, Seth Rogen and Christopher Walken in some awkward animated comedy spoof of the scifi show we nerds all love(d)? Wow…that was a long one – take a breath and check it out.
