Really. I should have said “Kick-Ass Alert!” only because this has become the most anticipated film of the year…due to some awesome online trailers. There’s something awful about watching a little girl cuss like a sailor, and being a father of one, I think it makes me even more sensitive to it. But I have an awful sense of humor…and so it goes…I think I’ll really love this movie. I hope you enjoy the kick-ass trailers below…but be warned…this isn’t a kid movie. You might want to wear some headphones and shield your computer screen when watching them.

The Buzz Around Toy Story Alert!

I can’t believe it has been 15 years since the first Toy Story came out in theaters. Where does the time go? Now I have two young children and I have easily seen Toy Story 1 and 2 a good thousand times.

So why am I so excited about Toy Story 3? Is it because I’ll finally see our friendly toys in new adventures for the first time in forever? Or is it that I have been so brainwashed by my own children and their love for Woody and Buzz that I really believe that toys come to life when I leave the room? It’s possible…right?

Wild Things Are Almost Here Alert!

I’ll eat you up I love you so… If there’s any kid movie that I’m excited to see this year…it’s Where the Wild Things Are. Not only is it one of my favorite books from MY childhood, it’s also a book that my kids love. Bringing this classic children’s story to the big screen – with live action – makes me tear up a little. And the trailer has a good message. “Inside every one of us…” is a great way to start off the holiday season.

Avatar Movie Alert!

Have you seen the new movie trailer for Avatar? It’s a James Cameron flick, due out in December, and it looks fabulous! That’s right…I used fabulous to describe a movie. And I’m not even that familiar with the animated series, but I am a sucker for beautiful cinematography. Take a look.

A lot of people are talking (and by talking, we mean facebooking, or blogging, etc.) about this movie right now. And while you can’t find it on YouTube (WHAT?!!) – it does find itself in the Google rankings with The Last Airbender (M. Night). So enjoy the link to the trailer on Apple’s website and sorry for the inconvenience (we all know how too many clicks can cause frustration in our viewers). Hilarious Hal Douglas Alert!

You don’t know who Hal Douglas is? How about Don LaFontaine? No? Then check out this great spoof trailer he did for The Comedian, a movie about Jerry Seinfeld. Very funny stuff. I especially like the sound check guy’s commentary during the whole thing. “What does that even mean?”

Let us all pay homage to the awesomeness of the eighties by watching a series of movie clips from that era. It was a different time for our culture. Watch a movie from any given time period and you’ll see what life was like then (even if it’s set in space).

Here’s the first in our list of 20. Ice Pirates is a scifi comedy set in outer space. Its got everything you need from the eighties, including space herpies. Check out the trailer and feel free to see the clip on YouTube devoted to space herpies.

WTF! This movie is freakin crazy. There are so many levels of ridiculously hilarious situations in this movie that you’ll sit with your jaw on the floor, wondering “WTF!” It does have one of the best kills in any movie…EVER! How often do you see a bad guy killed with a carrot? In this movie? Pretty often.
